Actor Jonathan Kemp performs ‘The Visitor’ by Ian Serraillier, a literal rhyming poem that incorporates elements of horror and the supernatural, as the visitor comes to reclaim a ring.
Classroom Ideas
Students could study the poem and write their own version together. They could use a similar style and employ some of the same devices, such as rhyme and repetition, telling the same story, but from the point of view of the skeleton.
