Forces: Video playlist

This is a compilation of images of a variety of magnets and springs used in day-to-day life. Includes a trampoline, car suspension, hole punch, playing with magnets, weighing scales and many more.

Note: There is no narration in this clip.

This clip could be used to stimulate learning on forces. Students could be challenged to name as many of the real life applications of springs and magnets that were shown in this clip as possible. They could also be asked to find examples of these two items in the classroom, or at home, and use them to create a classroom display.

Alternatively, students could explore some of the examples shown in this clip and discuss how the spring or magnet worked in this instance. This could introduce some of the topic-specific language that will be required to further explore forces.
