In Scotland, funding for the building of new schools and hospitals has been raised through Public Private Partnership. This had led to improved facilities, but the long term costs of PPP projects has been questioned.

Students could look for local case studies (possibly their own school) involving PPPs. They may be asked to consider the pros and cons of the Public Private Partnership.
