Continuous data charts

One of the best types of charts for displaying continuous data is a line graph.

Line graphs usually show data over a certain time period. Although they can also show the data of any type of continuous data, eg distance or age.

Here is an example of a line graph that shows different ages of pupils within a school and the numbers who own a mobile phone.

A table to show 'Age' by 'Number of pupils'. 11, 132. 12, 268. 13, 246. 14, 300. 15, 342. 16, 350.

By clicking on the line graph button in the tool bar of the spreadsheet, you will be able to create a line graph.

Number of pupils who own mobile phone within a school at different ages. 11, 132. 12, 268. 13, 246. 14,
