After finishing a first draft of writing, you should check your writing and look for ways to improve it. You should always look out for errors in spelling, punctuation and structure. This is called proofreading.

Paragraphs are a feature of almost all text types.

When reading back through your work, if you realise that you’ve missed the start of a new paragraph there is a quick solution. Simply make a mark like this ‘//’ where the new paragraph should go.
