Pues mi asignatura favorita es el español, porque las clases son divertidas y la profesora es muy simpática y me ayuda muchísimo. También me gusta la geografía, porque me interesa aprender cosas sobre otros países del mundo. No me gustan las matemáticas, porque las encuentro muy difíciles y el profesor no explica bien. Creo que voy a sacar malas notas en matemáticas.
Translation:
Well, my favourite subject is Spanish, because the lessons are fun and the teacher is very nice and helps me a lot. I also like geography, because I'm interested in learning things about other countries in the world. I don't like maths, because I find it very difficult and the teacher doesn't explain things well. I think I'm going to get bad marks in maths.

La mayoría de los profesores son buenos y tratan de ayudar a los estudiantes. Hay algunos que son un poco estrictos, pero, a veces, es necesario porque algunos alumnos no se comportan bien. No me gusta la profesora de educación física, porque no es muy justa y grita mucho.
Translation:
The majority of the teachers are good and try to help the students. There are some who are a bit strict but at times it's necessary because some pupils don't behave well. I don't like the PE teacher because she's not very fair and she shouts a lot.

Pienso que hablar otra lengua es importantísimo. Estudiar otro idioma te da la oportunidad de viajar más, de conocer otras culturas y tradiciones, y te abre muchas puertas a la hora de buscar un trabajo. En estos momentos estudio español y francés, y he tenido la oportunidad de viajar con el colegio, tanto a España como a Francia, para practicar las lenguas. Ambas experiencias han sido excelentes.
Translation:
I think that speaking another language is really important. Studying another language gives you the opportunity to travel further, to get to know other cultures and traditions, and it opens a lot of doors when you are looking for a job. Currently, I study Spanish and French, and I have had the opportunity of travelling with the school to both Spain and France to practise the language. Both experiences have been excellent.

Si apruebo mis exámenes en el verano, me gustaría volver al instituto para estudiar cuatro asignaturas a nivel avanzado: las matemáticas, la biología, la química y el español. Estas son las asignaturas que, en estos momentos, más me gustan y serán útiles para la profesión que quiero tener. En el futuro me gustaría ser farmacéutica y quiero trabajar en algún país latinoamericano; por lo tanto, estas asignaturas son ideales.
Translation:
If I pass my summer exams, I would like to return to school to study four subjects at advanced level: Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Spanish. These are subjects that I currently enjoy and will be useful for the profession that I want to follow. In the future I would like to be a pharmacist and I would like to work in a Latin-American country; therefore, these subjects are ideal.

Por ejemplo, si no tienes clase a primera hora de la mañana, no hace falta llegar hasta las 10. Creo que voy a estudiar comercio e informática allí, porque serán muy útiles.
Translation:
No. In September, I want to go to study at the Arts and Technology College in the town centre, because they offer more subjects and the students have more freedom. For example, if you don't have a lesson first thing in the morning, you don't need to arrive until 10 o'clock. I think I'm going to study business and computing there, because they will be very useful.

Creo que me gustaría más buscar trabajo, porque así puedes ganar dinero, pero si vas a la universidad, cuesta bastante y tardas muchos años en pagar la deuda. Además, cuando tenga dieciocho años, creo que estaré harto de estudiar. La otra posibilidad, si no puedo encontrar trabajo, sería tomar un año sabático.
Translation:
I think I would prefer to look for work, because like that, you can earn money, but if you go to university, it costs you lots and it takes you many years to pay the debt. Besides, when I'm 18, I think I'll be fed up with studying. The other possibility, if I can't find work, would be to take a gap year.
