Speaking – Role-play – At the the tourist office

When we go on holidays, we very often pay a visit to the tourist office to get information on the main attractions and things to see and do. Below is a role-play to help you practise what to say in these situations.

Question

You are on holiday and stop at the tourist office. Respond to the questions the tourist office employee asks and address them as vous.

  • Say that you want to visit the Dune of Pilat and ask for transport options.
  • Ask for information on other tourist attractions.
  • Say that yesterday you visited the Cap Ferret lighthouse and you did the bay tour by bike.
  • Ask if you can purchase tickets for a visit to l'Île aux Oiseaux.
  • Say that you want four tickets.
