From your title you will now need to think of three aims that will help you answer your question or prove/disprove your hypothesis. Three aims are enough but four isn't a problem.

It is best to start each aim with the phrase To find out.... For example:

Title: Do the police in the USA discriminate against minorities?

• Aim 1: To find out the evidence of police discrimination against minorities in the USA
• Aim 2: To find out the police view of how they treat minorities?
• Aim 3: To find out if police training on equalities is sufficient?

Title: Gender inequality no longer exists in the UK.

• Aim 1: To find out the evidence of economic inequality between men and women in the UK
• Aim 2: To find out the evidence of social inequality between men and women in the UK
• Aim 3: To find out the evidence of political inequality between men and women in the UK
