Use the following sample questions to help you put together answers about your pet.

Replace each of the words in bold with a word that suits your pet.

1. An bhfuil peata agat? - Have you a pet?

Tá peata agam. - I have a pet.

2. Cén sórt peata é / í? - What type of pet is it?

Is madadh é / í. - He / she is a dog.

3. Déan cur síos air / uirthi. - Describe him / her.

Is madadh beag é / í. - He / she is a small dog.

4. Cad é an t-ainm atá air / uirthi? - What is his / her name?

Cúisí an t-ainm atá air / uirthi. - His / her name is Cúisí.

5. Cé a thugann aire don mhadadh? - Who looks after the dog?

Tugaim féin aire don mhadadh. - I look after the dog.

Tugann Mamaí / Daidí aire don mhadadh. - Mum / Dad looks after the dog.

6. Cad é a dhéanann tú le do pheata? - What do you do with your pet?

Téim ar siúlóidí le mo pheata. - I go for walks with my pet.

Bím ag súgradh le mo pheata - I play with my pet.

7. Cén aois é / í? - What age is he / she?

Tá sé / sí cúig bliana d’aois. - He / she is five years old.

Ba mhaith liom cat a bheith agam. - I would like a cat.
