This year's Carnival with the theme 'Connecting Communities' includes a vibrant procession led by the new Carnival Queen, starting at 12.30pm from Holyhead Road, Handsworth. It will make its way through Perry Barr to Perry Park. See the Carnival procession route, travel details and parking. Hundreds of spectators will line the procession route to watch local people from the community wearing colourful costumes and dancing next to floats of groups playing in steelbands. Times 12:00 - Event starts in Perry Park 12:30 - Procession leaves Holyhead School 15:30 - Procession arrives at Perry Park 20:45 - Fireworks display 21:00 - Close of event in Perry Park
Once in Perry Park you will find an abundance of Caribbean fun including: Stalls with Caribbean arts and crafts.
Sample some of the best barbecues and Caribbean local cuisine.
Non-stop live music all day long in the spirit of Carnival.
Main stage with performances from local and UK artists.
A Gospel performance stage featuring local and UK artists.
A funfair and bouncy castle for the kids.
