Local Bands

The Project consist of: Scott Dean on vocals and guitar; James Stanley on lead guitar; Derek Lawrence on bass and Ian Haughton on drums/percussion.

The quartet formed in 2006, and each of them bring a unique flavour to the Birmingham-based experimental band.

Ian and Derek, who had previously written music and performed together for over 20 years, have been influenced mainly by Reggae and 80s R&B.

Out of the Ashes - in session 17th April

James, a fan of eclectic music, brings a distinct mix of blues, funk, rock and soul music to the proceedings.

Finally Scott, a musician since the age of 12, focuses on songwriting that revolves around an acoustic style that blends rock and pop with experimental song structures.

The Project have a busy schedule over the coming months, with gigs in and around Birmingham and London.
