Listen: Prospect Lane

They're gaining national attention with recent airplay on Radio 1. Listen again to Prospect Lane's live session on BBC WM Introducing.

BBC WM Introducing

"Thanks so much for having Prospect Lane live in session tonight. They are one of the best bands I've ever heard. I have to ask: has drummer Josh stripped off yet?"

So said one of many texts sent to BBC WM Introducing during Prospect Lane's live set.

An incentive to check out the BBC WM webcams if there ever was one...

Prospect Lane are one of the most promising young bands on the local circuit.

The five piece band are unique in approach - some tracks combine catchy rock and electronica; others use a slower paced acoustic set.

They've built up quite a following and have been busy recording new material with Gavin Monaghan at The Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton and have a number of gigs lined up to promote the songs.

Fresh off receiving airplay on Radio 1, Prospect Lane performed a live set on BBC WM Introducing.

Speaking live, vocalist Michael Boaler explained the origins of the band's name:

"Marc basically put us together and the original meeting happened in a pub on Prospect Lane in Solihull. After months and months of trying to come up with the name we saw the street sign!"

Kicking off with the much-requested 'Fickle' the boys also performed an acoustic rendition of 'Superman' to show the diversity of their talents.
