Upfront goes global
BBC launched its first international pilot for Upfront around the world in Delhi, on Tuesday, 15 June 2004. This South Asia pilot brought together staff from right across the region with delegates representing BBC World, BBC World Service, BBC World Service Trust (our independent charity) and BBC News. Sony Rag of BBC World told us: "This course has put me in the picture and made me feel like I'm part of One BBC."
Monica Chadha, BBC World Service, added, "It feels like the organisation has really made an effort to reach us."
And, at the end of the second session, Stephen Dando, Director of BBC People, thanked delegates: "It has been a real privilege to talk to you today. It doesn't feel like you're 7,000 miles away."
