Richard Dedomenici

The artist presents a conceptual detour through the themes of Caravaggio's work, including Iconoclasm, Charity, Violence and Egotism. Using Cambridge as a context and video as a medium, Richard will be making films and "squatting" on YouTube. These artworks contain language that may offend.

Background

Richard Dedomenici's work uses a variety of media to produce essentially performance-based work, whether it's designing Political Top Trumps to nurture a new generation of politically informed youth or managing a boy band comprised of four asylum seekers and refugees.

He often uses public websites such as YouTube or Google Video to distribute his work with the high aims of "development and implementation of innovative strategies designed to undermine accepted belief systems and topple existing power structures" - all self-styled as "low-grade civil disobedience".
