Joshua

Don't panic! English follows the Gaelic!

Is mise Joshua (Iosua) agus 's e oileanach ann an oilthigh Glaschu a th' annam. Tha mi naoi deug bliadhna a dh'aois. Tha mi fuireach ann an Grimsby, ach tha mi à Glaschu.

Seo na th' agam anns a' Ghàidhlig an dràsta. Tha mi ag ionnsachadh oir tha mi a' faireachdainn gum bu chòir dhuinn an cànan a shàbhaladh agus tha ùidh agam ann an cànanan co-dhiù. Chan eil mi a' smaoineachadh gum bi mi ga cleachdadh tric ach tha na prògraman air Radio nan Gàidheal agus BBC Alba a' còrdadh rium.

Is mise Joshua (Iosua is how I usually spell it.) agus s' e oileanach air oilthigh Glaschu a th' annam. Tha mi naoi deug. Tha mi fuireach ann an Grimsby, ach tha mi à Glaschu.

That's about all I can do in Gaelic at the moment. I'm learning because I feel like we should save what is now seen as a dying language, and I'm interested in languages anyway so thought this should be one I tried to learn. I doubt I'll use it much, but I enjoy trying to follow programmess on Radio nan Gàidheal and BBC ALBA.
