Don't panic! English follows the Gaelic!

Tha mi a' fuireach ann an Alba agus tha Gàidhlig aig teaghlach m' athar. Seach nach eil Gàidhlig aig teaghlach mo mhàthar, thòisich sinn ag ionnsachadh Fraingis mar dàrna cànan agus tha mi fileanta. Tha mi ag iarraidh cànan mo dhualchas ionnsachadh, ged a tha mi fhathast san àrd-sgoil agus a' dèanamh deuchainnean ag Sàr Àrd Ìre….

I actually live in Scotland, and my dad's side of my family all speak Gaelic fluently. Since my mum's family don't, we decided to choose French as a second language, and that's what I speak fluently. I obviously want to learn the language of my heritage, so I'm doing that, even though I'm in high school and about to sit my Advanced Higher exams....
