Marathon star back on cash trail
Jane Tomlinson and husband Mike
Jane and Mike Tomlinson explain their plan
Leeds cancer heroine Jane Tomlinson was going to take a rest from her fundraising after hitting her 100,000 target for cancer research.

Now she is already back in training for the York half-marathon and is planning an even bigger event later in the year.

Mrs Tomlinson, from Rothwell, said although it would be nice "to take a back seat", with such a high profile she has been contacted by people to ask how they could help with fundraising.

The mother-of-three told BBC Look North "In all honesty it's nice to use the support that's been shown to us and actually go forward and raise some more funds."

And Mrs Tomlinson revealed that her fundraising will now encompass more than just cancer charities by starting up a charitable trust in her name including support for an organisation called Sports Aided Research for Children.

Work as a Paediatric Radiographer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals has also inspired her to raise funds for paediatric acute services.
