| Friday, 24 May, 2002, 16:03 GMT 17:03 UK 400 more jobs go at ITV Digital The collapse of ITV Digital has led to the loss of 400 jobs at a call centre in Plymouth. Administrators announced that most employees at the centre would lose their jobs. The workers had been assisting administrators Deloitte and Touche since the announcement that the network was in financial crisis. More than 1,000 ITV Digital call centre workers in Pembroke, west Wales, lost their jobs last month. Dave Springbett, regional officer for the Transport and General Workers Union, said: "This news was sadly not unexpected. "The death knell of ITV Digital was sounded recently and the last rites have now been administered." |
