The webcams film what is going on in the nursery |
Webcams at a city nursery allow parents to keep a virtual eye on their children without leaving the office. Owners of the Sandringham Nursery in Cardiff installed the cameras to let anxious parents check up on their children via their website.
Parents are given a special code to allow viewing access to the images captured by the cameras which record continuously throughout the day.
It is thought to be the first nursery in Cardiff to offer the service.
Owner Sarah Arabestani, who runs the nursery in the Penylan area of the city with her sister Ali Harrison, said that parents were impressed with the service.
"It gives people the chance to look in and see what their child is up to anytime they want," she said.
"People can get anxious about leaving their children for the whole day and this lets them see what is happening all the time.

The 30-place nursery was set up a year ago and the two sisters got the idea about installing cameras from visiting other establishments.
Parents can access the images from the cameras through the nursery's website and only after using a special password.
"A lot of the nurseries in London have webcams and we thought it was a really good idea," said Ms Arabestani.
"It gives parents peace of mind and added security.
"They like to look in during their lunch breaks and dip in and out throughout the day."
Parent Vanessa Jabouin, whose one-year-old son Noah, goes to the nursery said she thought it was "a brilliant idea".
"My husband has got internet access at work, so he looks in a lot throughout the day," she said.
"And when I get a day off and leave him at the nursery, I can check to see he is having a good time.
"It just gives the parent the chance to see exactly what is happening," she added.
