Scottish Enterprise Borders (SEB) has outlined an action plan for more than �9m of investment in the year ahead. Among its key targets are plans to boost the Scottish Borders as a major venue for adventure sports.
SEB has also proposed significant investment in both the textiles industry and plans to redevelop the Ettrick Riverside in Selkirk.
Chief Executive David Gass said it hoped to build on the "considerable successes" of recent years.
SEB said it wanted to target the region's "priority industries".

Mr Gass said: "There is no doubt that we have seen some considerable successes within the local economy over the past few years.
"Unemployment is at a record low level.
"We have had a number of high growth companies such as Oregon and Pro Strakan expanding their operations here, recognising the benefits that investing in the Borders can bring to their business."
Substantial growth
SEB Chairman Hugh Tasker said it hoped to continue an upward trend in the local economy.
He added: "The Scottish Borders has been enjoying a renaissance of recent years, bouncing back strongly against the challenge faced by some of our traditional industries.
"We are now seeing some very exciting developments in the local economy and SEB has outlined a set of very ambitious projects that will deliver real and substantial growth.
"We are committed to ensuring that everyone in the Borders will be able to experience the benefits of this investment."
