Winter bug strikes school pupils
Forty pupils have been struck down by a winter vomiting bug at a primary school in the Scottish Borders.

Knowepark Primary School in Selkirk has been thoroughly cleaned and 17 children have since recovered from the illness.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Borders Council said the outbreak at Knowepark was being monitored with NHS Borders.

Letters have been sent to parents advising them of the presence of the bug with general advice on precautions to prevent it from spreading.
