A ward has closed to admissions at Borders General Hospital
The critical care unit and a ward at Borders General Hospital have been closed to admissions after a spate of winter vomiting cases.

Managers said new patients would not be admitted to Ward 10 and the intensive therapy unit.

The health board said the situation was improving after a number of patients and three staff were affected.

The ward would be closed for at least 24 hours and visitors with symptoms have been urged to avoid the hospital.
