Sickness bug school remains shut
A Borders primary school hit by a winter vomiting bug will be closed until Monday.

More than one third of the 124 pupils at Balmoral Primary in Galashiels were affected by sickness and diarrhoea.

The decision was taken on Thursday to close the school and Scottish Borders Council has decided to keep it shut until Monday.

A weekend fair planned for the school on Saturday has also been postponed because of the bug.
