Doonies Farm has many popular attractions for children |
Campaigners fighting to save a closure-threatened farm in Aberdeen could be given 60 days to come up with a rescue plan. Doonies Farm is technically closed following council budget cuts. However councillors will consider keeping its gates open while supporters try to come up with a viable business case for keeping it running. Doonies campaigner John Sleigh told BBC Scotland they would be "up against it" but it was not an impossible task. The news of the proposal, to be considered next week, came after a meeting between campaigners and a city council official.
