A recruitment drive has got under way to find the person who will be responsible for staging the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.

The post of chief executive is said to attract a "significant" salary.

The successful candidate will manage a multi-million pound budget and must have experience of large-scale sporting or cultural events.

Glasgow beat off competition from Abuja in Nigeria to host the games under the guidance of bid director Derek Casey.
