David Miliband says party standing behind Gordon Brown

Foreign Secretary David Miliband has reiterated his support for Gordon Brown, after an attempt to oust him as leader.

Geoff Hoon and Patricia Hewitt emailed all Labour MPs yesterday, urging them to support a bid for a secret leadership ballot.

Mr Miliband said: "We're all determined to win the election under Gordon's leadership".
