Fiscal policy

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has defended his handing of the current financial crisis in the UK, arguing that Government 'must play its role'.

Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr, Mr Brown said he was right to use fiscal policy as a means of securing the economy during these 'extraordinary times'.
