UK PM calls for immediate Gaza ceasefire

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has described the intense conflict unfolding in Gaza as a ''very dangerous'' moment.

Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr, he said the international community had to work harder for an ''immediate'' ceasefire.

Reports from inside the Gaza Strip say Israeli forces have intensified their military operation in the north of the territory, after crossing the border late on Saturday.
