Route map
Mrs Tomlinson hopes to arrive in Solihull at about 1600 BST
Jane Tomlinson arrives in the West Midlands on Friday in the latest leg of her cross-Europe tandem bike ride.

The 40-year-old, who is dying of breast cancer, has been cycling an average of 65 miles a day with her brother Luke Goward, 39, over the last 33 days.

Friday's leg of the journey takes them from Oxford to Solihull.

The pair have already raised more than 100,000 since setting off from Rome on 3 May and hope to reach Mrs Tomlinson's home city of Leeds on Monday.

The mother-of-three has already travelled about 1,700 miles despite the sleepless nights and pain she is suffering.

Mrs Tomlinson told BBC WM that she is trying to make the most of the time she has left.

"Four years ago I was told the breast cancer had spread to my bones and lungs.

"At that time I was struggling to spend another Christmas with my family.

"My prognosis is no different now - I may only have months to live.

"I'm just trying to make the most of my time and to stay optimistic."

After setting off from St Peter's Square, the pair travelled through Florence, Siena, Pisa, Monte Carlo, Lyons, Paris and Amiens before arriving in Folkestone on Monday.

They hope to arrive in Solihull at about 1600 BST.
