Mike More
Mike More has a reputation for strong management
A county council chief executive who has a reputation for strong leadership is leaving his post.

Mike More is to leave Suffolk County Council in April 2008 to take up the same role at Westminster Council.

Mr More joined the authority six years ago as director of resource management and became chief executive in 2002.

He has been involved in several major projects in the county, including the establishment of University Campus Suffolk.

Colleagues have paid tribute to his "strong managerial leadership and vision".

He said: "I'm sad to be leaving Suffolk but the council faces a time of great opportunity and challenge."
