More patrols tackle illegal bikes
A new attempt is being made to stop nuisance bikers in part of Nottingham.

Police say youths riding scooters and scrambler bikes along paths in Stapleford are putting other people on bikes and on foot in danger.

Officers say the problem is made worse as the majority of bikes involved are neither licensed nor roadworthy.

This operation will run throughout the summer, and will see increased police patrols in early evenings - a time when many youths gather with their bikes.

Anyone caught by officers could face penalty fines, or have their bikes seized.
