Safety measures for city's buses
Every bus in Nottingham is to be fitted with CCTV cameras by 2008.

More than 80 vehicles already have the equipment and two successful prosecutions have been made based on evidence from CCTV.

On Friday a pioneering initiative will be launched in the city to highlight the problem of vandalism on public transport.

Respect for Transport follows the successful Respect for Nottingham clean -up campaign.

The scheme also aims to emphasise that travelling on buses and trams in the city is safe and pleasant.
