Roadmender has lost its Arts Council grant |
A music venue in Northampton has lost its 58,000 grant from the county council, it has been announced. Northamptonshire County Council's cabinet committee decided to stop the annual grant to the Roadmender Centre.
The decision taken on Monday follows a county council review of the venue's business plan.
Roadmender, which organises community projects as well as promoting rock bands, recently lost its 110,000 annual Arts Council grant.
Roadmender's director Jon Gloersen had told the BBC that the county had been a great support to the venue, but it would be left in a "difficult position" if funds were cut.
