The Bury Metrolink line has re-opened following a multi-million pound project to replace worn-out track. Sections of the track have been closed since May and the whole track has been closed since July while engineers have renewed almost than 20 miles of track.
The platforms have also been refurbished and made more accessible as part of the �100m upgrade.
A metrolink spokesperson said the new service will be "smoother, quieter and more reliable."
The Altrincham tram link re-opened at the end of August after major refurbishment.
