It is hoped places like Skegness will be more lively all year-round
A tourism drive has begun to encourage people to visit parts of Lincolnshire all year round.

Two guides to East Lindsey were released on Thursday. One is for inland areas and market towns, and another coastal areas around Skegness.

They have been put together by East Lindsey District Council.

Bob Suich, head of tourism, said the guides do not just focus on the summer months. Every place in the guide was visited and vetted by staff.

Mr Suich said the guide was trying to get people in throughout the year.

"We are talking about holidays all year round this time on the coast and in the countryside," he said.

The council area covers Skegness, Mablethorpe, the Lincolnshire Wolds, Louth and Horncastle.
