The 27th person in a decade has died on a notorious stretch of road in Kent. A 44-year-old woman from the Gillingham area was killed in the car crash which happened on the A228 between Lower Stoke and Grain.
The woman was driving a blue Ford Focus which was involved in an accident with a blue Jaguar at 1715 BST on Thursday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
They particularly want to speak to the driver of a red car which stopped at the scene but drove off before the police arrived.
Police said the driver of the Jaguar, a man from the Isle of Grain, was arrested at the scene.
