Concert hall demolition date set
Bournemouth's Winter Gardens concert hall
The demolition is set to be completed by the end of May
A start date has been agreed for the demolition of a concert hall set to be transformed into an 8m arts complex.

Contractors will begin work on the Winter Gardens at Bournemouth, in Dorset, on 20 March.

Initial stages of the work will see the removal of asbestos. It is hoped the demolition itself will be completed by the end of May.

Seven arts organisations have signed up to be part of the entertainment and education centre.

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Dance South West, City Screen cinemas, Bournemouth University, Bournemouth Arts Institute and Bournemouth and Poole College have all agreed to run concerts, courses and classes at the site.
