Fourth day of bus strikes
Strikers and bus
Three more one-day strikes are planned for next week
Hundreds of Devon bus drivers are staging another one-day strike on Thursday.

Talks aimed at finding an end to the dispute with bus drivers for Stagecoach Devon broke down on Wednesday evening without agreement.

It is the fourth day that Stagecoach services are being hit as drivers take to the picket line.

Three more strikes are planned for next week and union leaders say they are considering further action.

Options rejected

The industrial action will affect Stagecoach services in Torbay, Exeter and east Devon.

The company has offered a variety of options to drivers to settle their pay claim.

However these were rejected by 93% of members in a ballot.

They want a 57p rise to 6.50.

But Stagecoach says to get this they would need to give up some of their current working conditions.
