�6.8m complex for older residents
A development designed to give older people greater independence is to be built in the Derbyshire Dales.

The �6.8m complex aimed at people who want to live at home but need extra support will be built at Wirksworth's Grade II listed Waltham House site.

The development has been funded by the Department of Health and developers Housing 21.

It includes 39 flats, an on-site restaurant, a laundry and a physiotherapy room.

The complex should be completed in 18 months time.
