Residents quizzed on housing need
People living in rural Derbyshire have been asked to give their views on what type of housing they need.

The Derbyshire Dales District Council and High Peak Borough Council have joined together to identify the area's need for affordable housing.

The survey will be posted to more than 23,000 residents and another 2,500 people will be interviewed in person.

The results will be used to shape the future planning and housing policies for both authorities.

The data is also required to support bids made to the Housing Corporation for funding.

Councillor John Pritchard, executive member for community and social development for High Peak Borough Council, said: "This is an important consultation exercise for local residents of the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.

"Their views on local housing needs will help to shape future decisions and for this reason I would urge everyone to respond in order to have their say."
