Grants scheme for historic houses
People making home improvements in parts of Derbyshire could be in line for some financial help.

Derbyshire Dales District Council is offering grants of up to 3,000 towards repairs on historic buildings.

It will provide cash towards work like chimney repairs, brickwork and new windows for historic or listed buildings in local conservation areas.

Planning officials said the scheme was vital to preserve the area's rich architectural heritage.
