Peak project up for planning gong
An initiative set up to ease housing problems in the Peak District is in the running for a national award.

The Meeting the Needs for Affordable Housing project has been short listed for the Silver Jubilee Cup - the highest planning award in the UK.

The Peak Park Authority-run scheme aims to make housing affordable for local people after the area became a hotspot for holiday and retirement homes.

The Royal Town Planning Institute will announce the winner on Thursday.
