Fellwalker dies after gully fall
A climber has died in hospital after falling 200ft down a gully while fell walking in the Lake District.

Gordon Waterworth, 63, of Troutbeck Bridge, Windermere, slipped in Hall's Fell on Blencathra on Sunday.

Keswick Rescue Team was called out and a helicopter from RAF Boulmer was scrambled to airlift the man to hospital in Carlisle.

He had suffered serious injuries and later died. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
