A fell walker was stretched to safety after injuring himself while climbing Scafell Pike in the Lake District. The man, in his late 30s, called 999 when he hurt his ankle on Skew Gill on Tuesday afternoon.
Sixteen members of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to the emergency call and stretchered the casualty back down the mountain.
Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain, is a popular destination for fell walkers.
