New appeal over Coventry terminal
Coventry Airport
The airport began operating in March 2004
Coventry Airport is lodging an appeal over planning permission for its passenger terminal.

The airport, which began operating in March 2004, applied for permission for the terminal from Warwick District Council in November 2004.

The council has not yet given a decision over the matter. A spokesman said it is because it is still waiting for responses from consultees.

The application will now be decided by the Secretary of State.

A previous retrospective application for the terminal was refused by the council and is currently the subject of another public inquiry.

The second application could be dealt with by the government at the same time.

A decision is expected in January.
