Newquay's continuing regeneration has been discussed at a public meeting. More than 200 people attended to hear details about a number of planned projects, including the development of the Fore Street car park.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of a mosque being built in the town.
Andy Cole, the chairman of the Newquay Regeneration Forum which organised the meeting, says the public will be given more say over what happens to the town.
He said: "People spoke long and very eloquently about what their view of the future is for Newquay.
"The officers and members of the authority were there in quite good numbers and they were listening to what was said.
"One of the things that came out of the meeting is the need for a few more weeks for everybody to look at all those developments."
