Alcohol could be banned from a beach in Newquay to prevent it being used for rowdy parties. Restormel councillors want to stop youngsters from boozing at Towan Beach, Barrowfields and the car park and gardens at Mount Wise.
Huge numbers of tourists go to the town from across the country, many attracted by its party-town reputation.
Towan Beach has become notorious this year for impromptu parties.

In one incident, he said up to 2,000 people had gathered on the beach below his home.
Council officials believe more alcohol-free zones will be an important step to combat crime and disorder.
Councillors are also expected to continue the by-laws which prevent people consuming alcohol in many other town centre streets, including East Street, Bank Street and Central Square.
The committee is thinking of extending no-drink areas in St Austell as well.
