Karolina died of head injuries in a flat in Patchway |
The family of a Polish woman murdered in Bristol have appealed for help to repatriate her body for a funeral. Karolina Mikolajewska, 20, was found dead in a flat in Patchway last week. Police believe she could have been killed by flat owner, Clive Hayes, 54.
Mr Hayes' car crashed into a shop in Thornbury on Friday and burst into flames. A man's body was found inside.
Karolina's family said: "We would be grateful for any help... so we can say goodbye to our love."
Karolina had been working as a care worker in South Gloucestershire for three weeks before she died.
'Amazing will'
In a statement, her parents, brother, sister and friends said she had dreamed of training as a doctor, and was working in the UK to raise money to pay for a medical course and to send cash home.
She had previously travelled to Spain, France and Switzerland with friends to find jobs.
"Our dear daughter and sister had amazing will to live, work and to explore and travel round the world and to help other people," her family said
They appealed for information to help police catch her killer.
"Plunged in sadness, we ask [the] Bristol and UK community to further inform police of [the] murderer in order to get this monster, once and for all - separate him by jail from other people, so he will never ever harm anybody," they added.
