Thirteen arrests at derby match
Darlington Arena
The match was played on Sunday at the Darlington Arena
Thirteen football fans were arrested when trouble flared at a derby match between Darlington and Hartlepool.

The majority of arrests, for public order offences in Darlington town centre, happened after Sunday's game.

But two were also held before the match for breaching banning orders and two during play for running onto the pitch.

Police said the game, which Hartlepool won 3-0, was attended by 10,000 fans, the majority of whom were there to enjoy the football.

Those held for breaching football banning orders were both Darlington supporters, according to Durham Police.

All those arrested were taken to Bishop Auckland and Darlington police stations.
