Bradley's grave has been attacked 33 times |
A grieving mother who has seen her son's grave repeatedly damaged is appealing for the public's help to catch the vandals. Shanie Parkin's son, Bradley, is buried alongside his aunt and brother in Cleethorpes cemetery, North East Lincolnshire.
But his grave has been vandalised 33 times in the past few months, despite increased security.
Now Mrs Parkin is trying to raise cash for a reward to catch the culprits who have left her "devastated".
She told BBC Look North: "It's heartbreaking. It's so wrenching. I don't think they realise these are my babies and my sister in there.
"This is where I come to sit with them, think, and have my memories with them.
Extra security
"When I come up and there's this awful devastation... nobody knows the pain it puts me through."
North East Lincolnshire Council has increased security patrols in the cemetery since the incidents of vandalism.
But they have not managed to stop vandals ripping off ornaments, pulling up flowers and spraying mud all over Bradley's grave.
Mrs Parkin is asking for pledges to go towards the reward for information, and she claims she has the support of friends and local businesses.
Local shop owner Suzette Robinson, who knew Bradley, told BBC Look North: "I can't believe what they are doing to his memory - I simply can't believe it."
